To accommodate people who would like to pay using a check or money order, I regularly ship items without receiving payment first. Likewise, a person may special order parts from me without having to pay in advance. This arrangement works well. But sometimes there are unscrupulous people who receive items and never pay for them, or special order them and then cancel, or receive an item but change their mind and return it without reimpbursing me for having special ordered it or paying for the shipping to them. I special ordered a hand painted glass lampshade at Andy's request; two days before it arrived he cancelled the order because he found one he liked at a local store for a cheaper price.

John ordered a variety of chimneys valued at more than $600. I individually padded each and packed them to survive the trip to Colombia, prepared the mailing labels and Customs declarations. Despite three subsequent attempts to elicit a response from John, I cancelled his order and re-stocked all I had packed for shipment.
